I am going to write about a prediction that won't happen in 2010:living underground.
I think that people won't live underground, it is impossible for several important reasons:

- First of all, atmospheric pressure is higher in very deep places than on the surface.
- Secondly, temperature underground is higher than on the surface too and our body won't stand high temperatures.
- Besides, the erath is liquid at six hundred and fifty kilometres inside.
- Moreover, animals, plants and humans need the sunlight to live. Without light trees and humans would not survive and, for this reason, they wouldn't produce enough oxygen to breath and either animals or humans could not live.
- There is a big seismec and volcanic activity at that depth, too.
In conclusion, I would say that people won't live undergorund for these reasons and this prediction is impossible for next year.

You can hear anywhere you go (bank, park, school, supermarket...) no matter where, the words ECONOMIC CRISIS.
Today everybody talks about the Spanish Economy:
- Zapatero is to blame
-I never had financial problems... Why now?
I will probably be wrong but...CRISIS? what CRISIS? If you walk around the streets you can see the restaurant full of people every day and who hasn't seen the movie twilight? (The fim cost about 50,8 million €) Isn't it shocking?
When there is a football match, the stadium is full of people, everybody has the best cellphone, and if you do not have an mp3 player, mp4 player, an IPOD, or blackberry... you are strange!! Are we really in crisis? Why should we buy to prove our superiority? I think we are all to blame and not just the president.
If people are more concerned with fashion, mobiles, movies, dinners at expensive restaurants, TVs... and don't care about things like home, food, life... It's normal that they say: WE ARE IN CRISIS!
I think that Spain isn't probably in the best economic times but we aren't really so bad. But the people have a tendency to blame of their own problems on other people.

Well, to start I´m going to write about the enviroment. I think if all of us continue contaminating the planet, the climate change will accelerate to such an extent that, in 2010, we will have to consider to live in other planets or in the moon, since in about 2035 the life in the Earth will be impossible. But if all of us become aware, we will be able to stop the climate change but, for this, we have to start recycling, using vehicles that don´t contaminate...
About the economy, I think that the economic crisis will finish and the number of working places will increase in 2010.
Finally, for the technology I think we will construct robots which will do our housework: clean the house, go shopping, make our lunch... But, who knows if this robot will control us?

The dragon's treasure
This game consists in arriving first to the cell of the dragon's treasure. The game board has 40 cells where there are pitfalls, shortcuts, rewards etc. I think that the game is very funny and entertaining.Instructions: Basic rules:
-Prepare the game to start playing
-Each player must roll the dice and move his counter
-If you get a six, you must roll again
-You have to obey the instructions of the board
-You can't share a cell with another player
Game content: 4 counters(red, blue, yellow and green),the board and the dice.

In 2010 I will travel to Rome with my parents to see all the important monuments. I will also visit Salamanca and Valladolid too see their universities.

Hi again, here is our second treasure hunt. By no means, this treasure hunt is somewhat difficult but not impossible, have fun.
The "Lazarillo de Tormes"
The "Lazarillo de Tormes" is a Spanish novel of the middle age published in the year 1554. This work narrates the sad story of the life of a boy named "Lazaro"(born by the river "Tormes"), who, since an early age, had a lot of problems. This work was written in the form of a letter narrated by the protagonist. The autor of this Spanish masterpiece is anonymous.
The structure of the book is divided into 7 chapters or treaties:
Treaty I, II and III: "Lazaro" serves to his first three owners: the blind, the priest and the squire. In these chapters the quality of life of "Lazaro" is poor and low.
Treaty IV, V, VI: In this chapter the quality of Lazaro´s life improves and he serves three new owners: the monk,
the chaplain and the seller of "bulas".
Treaty VII: "Lazaro" grows, marries and gets a great job in the townhall of Toledo.
Finally, I think that the novel was incredible in the middle age.

The Crisis
I don´t understand the crisis at all. I searched information, summaries,...but I do not know. I think everything started in the United Estates, in the real estates.
From then onwards I did not underestand anything else. There may be a crisis, but the people complain. We filled up the trolleys in supermarkets, full of Christmas gifts, in spite of waiting for neverending queues...
They complain but then they do not show it.
We have to stop spending on crap and keep the necessary. We could fix it somehow, but I believe that everyone is on their side and that is what it takes not to go worse. As I knew nothing about the crisis I have a little of my opinion. Just a little filler.

The Economic Crisis.
The economic crisis is a big problem which affects us all. It´s a world wide known problem thence it has expanded all over the world. The economic crisis began in 2007 in the U.S.A when the people couldn´t pay their mortgages and their bills. Then, the banks started to have some money problems because they couldn´t collect their money back. Some of the banks broke up and disappeared. Others got money from the estates in exchange for shares capitals. The banks stopped lending money and this made that the people couldn´t buy houses because they hadn´t got money. The houses lost value and the building companies stopped building and dismissed some of their workers. Then, the real crisis started. Workers didn´t want to spend money because they had to pay bills. Then, the other companies (clothes, technology, cars...) didn´t get benefits so they disappeared or lost their workers. Due to this, in these years, the number of jobless people has increased and the number of seizures. The number of thefts has also increased because the people haven´t got money and they can´t buy food, clothes....

Hi guys, how are you doing again? I have something to propose to you. It was taken in Amsterdam, on August 2007, in one of those beautiful coffee shops you can come across in that extraordinary place. I was having a delicious beigel with a friend of mine when I decided to take a picture of some sugar cubes (sugar hearts, indeed). A compound noun is a noun that is made up of two or more words. Most compound nouns in English are formed by nouns modified by other nouns or adjectives.
For example:
The words tooth and paste are each nouns in their own right, but if you join them together they form a new word - toothpaste.
The word black is an adjective and board is a noun, but if you join them together they form a new word - blackboard.
In both these example the first word modifies or describes the second word, telling us what kind of object or person it is, or what its purpose is. And the second part identifies the object or person in question.

Crisis
The Crisis isn't a good thing at all. People are losing their jobs because there isn't any money to pay them with. Others are getting huge cuts taken out of their wages so that they don't lose their jobs. But, whose fault is it? Is it the presidents fault? or, is it our fault? I think that it's a bit of both. People need to spend only what they have to and not waste it on things that they do not need. It will take from 18 to 24 months to set things right again.

St Valentine's day
St Valentine's day is a special day for the people who are in love with someone and they want to declare and for those who have a partner and want to give them a gift to show their love and affection. I believe that St Valentine's day is a great opportunity to write a good love letter to someone. On St Valentine's day I think that all people who have a partner show more affection towards them than other days. Our High school (I.E.S Playa Honda)
The high school where I'm studying is the I.E.S Playa Honda. It´s located in the area of the beach of Guacimeta (near the airport of Lanzarote). The high school is composed of: 22 classrooms (five for 1º of E.S.O, four for 2º of E.S.O, four for 3º of E.S.O, two for 4º of E.S.O, two for 1º Bachillerato, three for splitting lessons, one for "P.T" and one for "enclave") a music classroom, two laboratories, an art classroom, a "Medusa" classroom, a computer clasroom, a technology workshop, a classroom for audio-visuals, a snack bar , an administration room, a secretary office, a Head's room, a headquarters office, a department of orientation and another of mediation, a teachers' lounge, a library, a big playground, a pavilion of P.E, a department for each subject and two toilets.After this, I think that my high school is very well prepared. In mi opinion I must also say that my high school is very well organized too.
Changing the subject I believe that my high school has everything that is necessary to make studying time more relaxing. Finally, I think my high school is fantastic!

Peace for me starts with respect, because in the street you have to respect the turn of traffic lights , for example, to prevent problems. Not to fight with your family, your friends or strangers. You have to understand, when the person is feeling bad. Respect your classmate, teammate, or flatmate. To prevent arguments, when there are wars, there isn't peace. Today it is Monday, January 19th, 2009; we are in the 21st century. However, it seems that humanity has returned to 1939 in the 2nd World War. Israel is doing in Palestine the same as Hitler did in Germany with Jewish people.
It's very sad and pathetic.I believe that behind this senseless war there are economic and political interests. Nevertheless, politicians hide this information and they say it is simply a war between Arabs and Jews, so it is a war between two religions for an area, Gaza.
...Where is the desired tolerance? and
Where is respect?...
All this world is driven by economic interests without regarding the shocking number of dead Palestinians. Very sad, indeed.

Israel and Palestine
The conflict between Israel and Palestine emerged many years ago. Israel occupies an area called the West Bank and Gaza. The Palestinians, who have lived in that area, have to abandon their homes and their lands. Israeli occupation has been condemned by many countries.
Another problem is the water because it's very necessary. Israel controls the water from the Jordan River and the Palestinians need a permission for drilling wells. Ufos
Ufos. Are they real or just a figment of our imagination?
Me? I don´t really know what to believe.
It seems impossible that there could be extraterrestrials or martians, as some call them, in outer space, be more inteligent than the human race and be capable of flying the Ufos or flying saucers that people state they have seen. But the again, why couldn´t they exist?
Ufos or otherwise known
as flying saucers, are mainly seen in the Usa. But as I remember, my teacher Sergio told the class thas some people will do anything to earn some money. Some would say that this is pretty pathetic. Everyone agrees that people become more consumerist at Christmas. For example: Why are there only two important dinners ( Christmas and New Year's Eves) a year? Why just buying good food at Christmas? Why just giving things at Christmas? Why only meeting with the family at Christmas? Is it an excuse?... I don't know. People often think that these holidays are nice, beautiful and fantastic. But I don't think so. I think it's boring and repetitive. It is always the same guy: fat, dressed in red, with a long beard... every year the same. On January 6, I heard on Tv: - Today the children of the world are looking to the East. They are waiting for The 3 Wise Men . Then I changed the channel and I could see the current war in the East, many dead, including children... Did they also look to the East? Were they also waiting for their gifts?

My Christmas
After two long weeks, Christmas has finished. This holidays, which people around the world have eagerly desired for a long time, that they have organized thoroughly so that everything was perfect, has gone as fast as a shooting star that soars across th

My holidays
Hello teacher,
I am going to write about my Christmas holidays.
On those days, I have been working. I was a babysitter. I looked after four children.The advantage of this was that I looked after them in my house. Moreover, the last child went at eight o'clock.
On Christmas Eve, I went to my cousin's house where I had dinner with my family. After dinner,my cousin went out and he exploded various types of firecrackers.
On New Year's Eve, my mother and I cooked dinner because,this time, my family came to my home. At twelve o'clock, we ate the twelve grapes, but, as usual, I choked on them.
On Epiphany(6th January) everyone got a lot of presents, for example, toys clothes, money, etc. But the best present was a yellow canary.
My friend Patri gave me a pair of jeans and a blouse, too.
Then, I went to Patri's house. There, I ate paella and I spent that day with my friend.
I can't complain about my holidays.

Alzheimer's disease
Alzheimer's is a brain disease that is named after German physician Alois Alzheimer who first wrote about it in the early nineteen hundreds. Alzheimer's is a progressive and fatal disease. It destroys brain cells and it causes memory problems. It affects thinking and behaviour, 
hobbies or social life. Alzheimer's gets worse over time. It is also the most common form of dementia and at the moment it has no cure. What is known about Alzheimer's has been discovered in the last two decades and there is a worldwide effort trying to find different and better ways to cure this fatal disease.Kellie 3ºB
Tourism in the Canaries
Tourism in the Canaries is so important because it offers a great amount of money for the economy of the Canaries and many jobs. The tourists come mainly from the following countries: England, Germany, Scotland, Ireland, Sweden...
There are also people from other countries like: Russia, Morocco, South american countries... which come to the Canary islands to find a job and to be able to lead a normal life. These people aren't tourists because they don't come on holidays.
The Canary islands have a subtropical climate with mild temperatures for the tourists who come from cold countries. To finish, I have to say that for the tourists the landscape of the Canary Islands is very attractive and they enjoy their holidays.

The ghost knight
It's said in legends that there was a man who rode on his black horse. He went to Barcelona from Madrid. One day, he was crossing a forest when the gnomes, which were living in the forest, attacked the man. He fell down from his horse and he pulled out his sword (He was a knight). Then, the gnomes attacked the knight with arrows. He fell down. He was still alive but his legs were hurt. The gnomes dragged the knight to the gnomes' town. The gnomes ate the knight but before this, they cut off his left arm. He was screaming and finally, the gnomes ate the knight alive. Every night, the knight rode in the forest.
One day, Danny went to Barcelona and he had to go across the forest. He was lost in the forest. The night came and the darkness covered the horizon. He heard the sound of a horse. He looked around him and he didn't see anything or anybody but he was hearing the sound of a horse. Then, he saw a horse, a black horse with a man on it. Suddenly, the knight pulled out a sword and he was coming to Danny with a horror face. Danny tried to escape and, after five minutes, Danny looked behind him to look for the knight but he couldn't find him. After that, the ghost knight appeared behind Danny and the knight cut off his legs. He fell down with a scream of pain. Then, the knight stopped and he screamed. After that, many gnomes came to Danny and they started to eat him.
Finally, the knight disappeared in front of his eyes which finally ended up in the gnome's stomach.

The Spirit
Long time ago, a nice and beautiful young person lived in the island. Her name was Lucia and she liked witchcraft. Days ago, she had noticed that somebody was observing her. She was sure that it was a spirit that wanted to communicate with her. Then, she told her best friend but she did not believe her. Some days later she began to listen to strange noises. Her mother and her friend did not know what to do. They took her to many psychologists but Lucia was very unhappy. One night, she decided to face this spirit that was pursuing her.
She convinced her friend and they made a ritual. When they prepared everything, Lucia lit the candles and she pronounced some words holding her friend's hands. Suddenly, the windows opened, a ghust of wind extinguished the candles and the room was darkened.
Then, Marta heard a shout and she felt that something touched her back but Lucia was still holding her hand. Marta was scared and she left the house. The next day, nobody knew anything about the two girls.

The physical aggressions can be confirmed easily by the appearance of bruises and other symptoms. Nevertheless, the psychical aggressions are more difficult to identify because they do not leave any type of visual tracks. The majority of these aggressions happen to women by their sentimental partners but this does not mean there are not cases of mistreated men.
Often, the mistreated people do not denounce their aggressions for fear and this causes that they are repeated time and again, even reaching the death of the attacked person. In 2004, 72 women were assassinated in Spain and nobody could do anything on the matter. In our country measures to protect and restrain the violence are already being taken and the society is more and more aware and sensitized on the subject.
